The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the swim school. This includes, but is not limited to: operations, management of all school staff, marketing, and overseeing aquatic program. One of the most critical aspects of the role is to be the "face of the school". This entails building relationships with customers and staff to deliver exceptional customer service.

Customer Service

  • Follow and implement Aqua-Tots Swim Schools customer service guidelines to ensure anexceptional customer experience for every customer
  • Ensure quality and progression of lessons
  • Establish and maintain a strong presence in the lobby and facility
  • Communicate effectively with potential and existing customers
  • Build relationships with families, know their names and their children's names
  • Handle aquatic customer concerns using the AQUA method, providing a win/win outcome
  • Respond to parents within 24 hours of any reported instructor performance concern and keepaccurate record in the instructor file.
  • Use the customer-focused principle in each customer interaction


  • Works with Aquatic Manager to monitor WSI (Water Safety Instructor) and MWSI (Master Water Safety Instructor) training programs
  • Supervises Aquatic Manager in the implementation of Aqua-Tots curriculum and teaching philosophies


  • Implements grassroots and local marketing/advertising campaigns


  • Oversees all hiring, firing, scheduling and all staffing related matters
  • Directly responsible for ensuring adequate staff to meet demands
  • Participate in the hiring process to select quality candidates


  • Train and oversee Front Desk Staff to ensure high quality of customer service as well as providing a fun and pristine environment
  • Oversee Aquatic Manager in pool operations
  • Provide support to customers and review all discrepencies


  • Oversee Implementation of yearly budget
  • Weekly revenue review and sales trends
  • Provide Revenue Projections


  • 3-5+ years of experience within aquatics management
  • 3+ years of experience teaching swim lessons
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to be outgoing and interact with customers on a daily basis
  • Ability to take action and implement a strong culture and work ethic on the team
  • Strive to go above and beyond
